  My Stepfather Albert Gorchoff Jr. passed on Aug 25, 2002 The service at Levitt-Weinstein was on Sept 1, 2002. Our family was interviewed by the Rabbi in a rushed, almost frantic state. I recall being asked all the standard questions such as favorite family vacation spots, traditions, background, etc. I remember having to repeat my name to the Rabbi 3 or 4 times as he scribbled it on a tattered piece of paper. Just before the service we were informed that Alberts remains could not be located! The service began without the remains and the Rabbi proceeded to make every faux pas in the book. He repeated the stories we were asked about and skewed them so badly they were no longer factual stories. He mispronounced many names and got some of the family relationships backwards. As I looked around the room I saw many eyes rolling. After the service which could have been for an entirely different person, friends who know our family well made comments such as, "Where did you find this guy?" WEEKS later I received a voice mail from Levitt-Weinstein informing me the remains had been found and to come pick them up right away. I returned the call and asked if they really expected me to drive out and retrieve them. The person sensing the upset tone of my voice quickly realized the proper thing to do was have them delivered to me which they did. Many weeks after the cremation I can only assume that was his remains. This review is long overdue and Albert would have been just as appalled as we were regarding the service of Levitt-Weinstein.
